Mohan Rangan is an accomplished Carnatic Flautist and All India Radio (AIR) graded artist. He is a software engineer by profession and maintain a career in private concern. His inspiration to learn flute came from his father H.D.Govindaraj. Mohan started his flute career under the tutelage of Vidwan S.A.Sashidhar at Vijaya College of Music, Bengaluru. With the guidance of Sangeetha Kalarathna Prof. H.V.Krishnamoorthy, he learnt advanced music. His brother Ravikiran Govindaraj is a notable and accomplished Flautist. The brothers together have performed many flute duets in esteemed sabhas of Chennai and Bangalore. Magazines like Hindu and Sruthi have praised the performance of the duo. Their recent performance for South India Fine Arts (SIFA) and Mohan's solo performance was well received by listeners.
