Vidhushi Smt Meena Murthy is one the famous Veena Player, in Bangalore. She started her musical journey in early age by learning Carnatic Vocal, but went on to learn Classical Veena Instrumental. She has done her training under Vidwans Shriyuths Shyamprasad, Krishnamurthy and R.K.Suryanarayan from the beginning up to proficiency level. Currently, she is training under Vidwan Sri B.R.Sridhar and Vidwan Sri S.V.Giridhar. After completing her proficiency in 1991, she is actively giving concerts for various social, religious gatherings and have given concerts in television programmes. She has performed in the presence of Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and President of Maldives, in Maldives for the occasion of India Day. She is the Founder President of ‘Sneha Spandana’ which is a cultural organization for promoting classical music.
