Manjula Amaresh, (daughter of Smt. H. N. Jayalakshmi Kumar and Late Shri. S. Kumar) is an ardent student of Bharathanatyam and is one of the Senior Disciples of the legendary Gurus – Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Bhanumathi, Padmabhushan Shri. V. P. Dhananjayan, Padmabhushan Smt. Shantha Dhananjayan & Padmabhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. She is an established Bharathanatyam Artiste from Bangalore and started learning Bharathanaatyam at a very tender age. She graduated this art under the able guidance of renowned Gurus of Bangalore – Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Shyamala Muralikrishna and Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Revathi Narasimhan. In the year 1992, Manjula performed her Arrangetram (Rangapravesha). Manjula has secured First Rank for the Karnataka State in Bharathanaatyam Vidwath Examination conducted by Government of Karnataka. She secured a Masters Degree in distinction for Bharathanatyam from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Manjula Amaresh has to her credit more than 250 performances both in India and Abroad. She has performed to an international audience and delivered umpteen lectures on Bharathanatyam world over. At Keene State University, Union Hall auditorium, New Hampshire, USA, she performed and counselled lecture demonstration to various international students and teachers.
