Mridanga Vaadana Ratna' Vidwan Sri M.Vasudeva Rao is a renowned Mridangam performer. His recitals are famous across many prestigious sabhas and music festivals in India. His percussion ensemble "Laya Surabhi" is well received in concerts held at India and Europe. Vasudeva is the guru for Mridangam and Kanjira for several current generation musicians. Amrit N, H.S.Sudhindra, S.V.Giridhar, to name a few and many more are great musicians and teachers. He served as a teacher in Valley School and Jnanodaya school for many years. He has been an examiner, evaluator and chairman of Examination board of KSSEB.
