About
M S Vidya is a prominent Carnatic musician, from Bangalore. She hails from a family of eminent musicians, with fore-fathers from "Haridasa Parampara". She had her vocal training from her father and guru Mundarigi Seshagiri Achar of Bellary.
Vidya is one of the contemporary composers of classical music. She has received several state and national level scholarships during her tenure. She is a high ranked artist in AIR and has given many concerts for AIR and Doordarshan. She has performed at many prestigious platforms throughout India and abroad.
Vidya has close to 3 decades of experience in teaching Indian classical music. She has encouraged and guided several students wanting to make a career in music. For her contributions to the field of music as music composer and teacher, she has received several prestigious awards. She is currently a vocal instructor at SIFAS (Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society).
