M G Ranganath is a professional Mridangam and Vocal artist from Mysore.His father M.Gopalakrishna mentored him for Vocal and Ranganath took his advanced training from Vidhushi Pushpa Srinivasan. Along with vocal, with guidance from Vidwan K.U. Jayachandra Rao, he started training in Mridangam.He has performed various concerts in Vocal and Mridangam, all over India and United Kingdom. Ranganath is a regular performer in Edinburgh Fringe festival, along side renowned Violin Artist Dr.Jyostna Srikanth. In Aaradhana Festivals conducted in UK, he is one of the regular performers, presenting Varnams, Kritis and Thillanas of Dr.M.Balamurali Krishna and Lalgudi G Jayaraman.
