About

Krithikaa Sreenivasan is an upcoming Carnatic Vocalist and an IT engineer by profession. Born into a family of musicians, she started her music training at the age of 5. Her mother Geetha Sreenivasan is a Sitar performer and a professor. Her father M.L. Sreenivasan is a flautist and her sister Deepikaa is a popular mridangist. Krithikaa learnt music under T.S.VasanthaMadhavi for 18 years. She is currently pursuing training under Vid. Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma and maestro Chitravina Ravikiran. As an allrounder, she is well versed in singing folk, light music and Carnatic music genres. Her performances at music festivals in Kerala and Mysore were well received. She has won many prizes and awards from music competitions held at leading sabhas. She is the recipient of "Sangeetha Kausthuba" for her talent and performances in music. Krithika, along with her mother has co-authored a Kannada book, "Alpaayushi Mahaa Saadhakaru". She has worked to compile and feature the achievements of musicians from Karnataka.
