Dr. H.S.Anasuya Kulkarni is a popular musician with a twist. She is a trained Hindustani musician and a multi-instrumentalist. Her first music instrument experience was with "swaramandalam" gifted by her vocal guru. Since then, her collection of musical instruments multiplied, close to 300 numbers. Not only she collects it but also knows how to play the same, by receiving training from experts. Dr.Anasuya got interested with the instrument "Anklung" from Jakarta, Indonesia. She started to play Indian music notes and soon played several Carnatic notes with ease. She is the founder of "Institute of Ethnomusick", that aims to teach any musical instruments to music enthusiast.
