Natyakalaratna Smt. Gayathri Chandrashekar received training in the Vazhuvoor style of Bharatanatyam, under the aegis of Guru Kalaimamani Smt. K.J. Sarasa. She is an ‘A’ grade artist of Chennai Doordarshan, and has performed extensively in India and abroad, and has received numerous awards and accolades. Through her dance institution “Nrutya School of Art”, Smt Gayathri aims not only at training students in Bharatanatyam but also at imparting important life skills. About 20 of her students have successfully completed their Gajje/ Salangai puja and 4 students have completed their Rangapravesha. She is also a life coach, healer and a Tarot card reader. She is an ‘A’ grade talent artist of the Chennai Doordarshan. She was bestowed with the honor of performing Bharatanatyam Recital for a dinner hosted by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, late Selvi. J. Jayalalitha at the first Assembly session and for the second time with an audience packed with delegates from across the world in a meeting with the Chief minister.
