Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira, is one of the premier Institutions in service of Carnatic Music for over 6 decades.The founder of the academy is Late Sri Vedanta Iyengar in 1955, an educationist by profession. Presently, his children G.V.Krishna Prasad, G.V.Neela and G.V.Ranganayakki Amma manages the academy, after his demise. The academy is known for its commitment to arts and considered as one of the finest Music school in Bangalore. The academy has conducted over 800 concerts and taught innumerable students, thus earning a fine reputation among music enthusiasts. They do involve in conducting musical workshops and taken part in community enrichment activities of Bangalore, thus giving back to the society. The academy is famous for this well known yearly "Spring Festival". It is the most sought after festival in Bangalore, that attracts music talents from all over the world. None of the concerts are charged for a fee.
