She is a disciple of Late Sri. Ramnad Krishnan, Madras. She had held center stage in the field of Carnatic music for over three decades. She is the founder of Sunada Cultural Center. She is the Producer and Director of “Mysore Vaggeyakararu”. This was a popular television serial on Doordarshan, Bangalore. Dr. Shyamala G Bhave is a well-known Classical musician. She is the only person in India who can sing Carnatic, Hindustani, Devotional, Light music. She sang her first concert when she was six. Her father Sri. Govind Vithal Bhave set up the Saraswathi Sangeetha Vidyalaya. She has been running the school for the past 60 years.
