G Mohan Rangan is an accomplished Carnatic Flutist. He is an All India Radio (AIR) graded artist. He is a software engineer by profession and maintains a career in a private concern. His inspiration to learn flute came from his father H D Govindaraj. Mohan started his flute career under the tutelage of Vidwan S A Sashidhar. He went to Vijaya College of Music, Bengaluru. With the guidance of Prof. H V Krishnamoorthy, he learned advanced music. His brother Ravikiran Govindaraj is a notable and accomplished Flutist. The brothers together have performed many flute duets in the sabhas. They have performed at Chennai and Bangalore. Magazines like Hindu and Sruthi have praised the performance of the duo.
