Dr. Meera Rajaram Pranesh is a prominent Carnatic vocalist and a musicologist. She started her training under the tutelage of Sudha V. Murthy and Rohini Manjunath. She completed her initial graduation and continued to earn a doctorate in music. Dr. Meera studied about the Splendor of Dr. L. Muthiah Bhagavathar, in her M.Phil course. And research on musical compositions of Wodeyar Dynasty, during her Doctorate. Dr. Meera has performed several concerts and has given lectures/ demonstrations on music. She is teaching Carnatic Vocal in Vanamala Center for Art and Culture. As an approved guide for music research, she gives counsel for students who pursue the same. Dr. Meera has authored several books, that is a mere extension on topics related to her research. She is a managing trustee for Vanamala Center for Art and Culture. She is also a professor and a member in examiner board, for Jain University. She has held various positions as a member of many prestigious committees. She is the recipient of many eminent awards and titles like "Shastra Koustubha".
