A gifted and highly talented danseuse, Smt Chitra Vinodh is trained in the beautiful art form of Bharatanatyam, the traditional dance of South India that has its roots in ancient history. She is deeply grounded in the Vazhavoor style of Bharatanatyam and her aim is to preserve and propagate the true essence of this ancient art form to the budding artists of the present and future generations at her institute, Chitra Centre for Performing Arts, Bangalore. It was her great fortune to take up advanced training lessons under Karnataka Kalasree Guru B Bhanumati, Director, Nrityakalamandiram and to be a prominent part of her dance troupe Bharathanjali.
