Kala Verma

Kala Verma is a professionally trained music teacher in classical music, ghazals, bhajans and folk music in Delhi and Mumbai. She is Sangeet Visharad in First Class from Bhatkhande School of Music Lucknow and a disciple of Shanti Hiranand in ghazals (a disciple of Begum Akhtar) and of Kankana Banerji (for classical). She also got training under Pandit Pratap Narain (elder brother of Pandit Jasraj). She is a regular stage performer and has given live concerts at U.K. and other countries. In India, she has performed in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi and many other places. Her rendering of ghazals has drawn applause and appreciation from masters like Naushad, Ghulam Ali, Anoop Jalota, Madhu Rani and many other prominent gurus of Indian Music. She has disciples from other locations also and imparts music lessons via Skype/video chats.
